The
Cheap Therapy Pay it Forward Grant was first awarded in 2005. Our previous winners include publishers, authors, "gifts-that-benefit-charities" organizers, community
leaders, Caring Bridge, entrepreneurs, WWII Veterans, Honor Flight, a summer camp for the children of incarcerated
parents, Girls on the Run and young people who simply "get It" and want to share It. Paying it Forward
is the foundation of my business plan here at Cheap Therapy. That’s why at least 90% of our profit
goes to charity, including the
Cheap Therapy Pay it Forward Grant.
So I can honor the
hundreds of Pay it Forward applications I currently have, I'm not accepting more applications at this
time.
On July 1, 2013, we
awarded our 19th Pay it Forward Grant to 'More for Moore'~
an innovative group of eight rising high school seniors from Lawton, OK, who've taken it upon themselves to 'adopt'
three high school students who were directly impacted by the tornadoes in Moore, OK. James Marshall, spokesman
for 'More for Moore', says "After visiting Moore, we knew we had to do even more than just haul debris and
hammer nails. Then we remembered the movie Pay it Forward. We each connected with three high
school students from Moore. Now we're swapping texts with them to find out what they really need. We're
preparing kits of school supplies for each of them. So at least their families won't have to worry about that.
It feels good to be able to do something so real (and something we all taken for granted) for people we know
will also Pay it Forward someday."
Yep, THIS is what it's all about.
Thanks, ya'll!
