How it all started...
I've always loved to send homemade cards to people. In fact,
my sister teased that I send them to taxi drivers and toll booth operators. Well I just did that once. OK, twice,
but they were both exceptionally kind souls!
Anyway, when I stepped-out of a long banking career, due to the adventures
of multiple sclerosis, I decided to start making cards and journals to donate to places where I'd once donated money.
To my surprise, people started contacting me to actually buy my stuff.
Even though my handcrafted paper art is
now in hundreds of galleries and shops across the US, I still consider this a very small business. Because of the
way my body limits my energy, I work hard at finding and maintaining a healthy balance. I create each
piece of my paper art at my kitchen counter. I love to imagine who'll end up with each one. I hope
you'll be one of those people soon.
My promise to you...
The older I get, the more I realize that true guarantees
are few and far between, but if you ever buy anything from me and are disappointed or dissatisfied... for any reason... just
return the merchandise to me within two weeks. I'll promptly replace it or refund your purchase price. Your choice.
Speaking of donations...
I divide at least 90% of all profits from Cheap
Therapy between several charities that are dear to me. Some of these charities are the Cheap Therapy Pay it Forward Grant, Habitat for Humanity, the National Multiple Sclerosis Society (NMSS), the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund (to
specifically aid natural disaster victims), the National Honor Society and the Brownies (I was kicked-out of these last two, so they hold a SPECIAL place in my heart).
